Because winters in our area are usually mild comparatively, it is important that your landscape maintains a consistent moisture level and does not dry out. A minimum watering schedule is recommended. If you have a SMART controller, it will reduce the corrections needed during the winter season. 

Although in most cases it is not necessary to blow out the system with compressed air, there are some precautions that need to be taken in certain areas. If you are in a city that requires the system to have an above ground backflow device (PVB - Pressure Vacuum Breaker or RPZ - Reduced Pressure Zone) or if you have an above ground pump, there are some precautions that need to be taken to prevent freezing which could create costly repairs. 

Whether you have hired a professional landscaper or put your own blood, sweat and tears into your landscape, a lot of time and money has been spent getting it just the way you want it. Water conservation is important for all sorts of reasons, and is completely doable, while still protecting your investment. There are many ways to achieve this.....adjusting sprinklers, watering schedule, checking rain and/or freeze sensors, monthly or quarterly maintenance schedule....all of these, and more, contribute to water conservation while maintaining your beautiful landscape.

YES! There are many SMART features on your WiFi controller that will allow automatic adjustments based on weather forecasting. This feature can also enable us to manage your controller for scheduled maintenance without needing you to be present.
